22nd Anniversary Memorial Event of 8888

We would like to invite you to attend the 22nd Anniversary Memorial Event of 8888. The Anniversary memorial will take place at the Malai Meeting Room, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University on Sunday, August 8th from 10.00 to 17.00. The day will involve an exciting host of events including:

During this discussion we will touch on the work of reporters, activists and politicians who have investigated Burmese democracy. These include The Political Process Pre and Post of Election: Solution or Dead End? by Supalak Ganjanakhundee, Senior Reporter for The Nation; The Future of The National League for Democracy (NLD) after Election by Ko Win Hlaing, elected MP of NLD; Political Prisoner and Freedom of Expression by Ma Su Mon, former female political prisoner; and The Impact of Election to Migrant Workers and Refugees from Burma in Thailand by Adisorn Kerdmongkol, Committee of Action Network for Migrants

You are invited to participate in additional activities throughout the day. These range from an exhibition on the progress in Burma as viewed by several Burma-focused organizations, cultural shows and traditional Burmese refreshments.
